Together for resilient cross-border regions
Cross-Border Spatial Planning and Crisis Management Pilot Actions
Cross-border cooperation enables border regions to develop into unified territories that better meet the needs of their residents, public administrations and businesses. By fostering cooperation on spatial planning and crisis management, these regions can effectively tackle common challenges.
With a shared vision and joint plans, border regions can diminish the negative impacts of borders and create lively, integrated cross-border living areas.
This EU-funded project supports actors in border regions to enhance resilience through cross-border spatial planning and cross-border crisis management.
With financial assistance from the European Commission, 20 pilot actions will be funded to help border regions achieve four goals:
- collaboratively plan with competent authorities across the entire cross-border territory
- enhance cross-border governance for crisis management and spatial planning
- foster contacts and information sharing across the border
- capitalise on the experience and provide examples for others
